Iris Exhibitions: ceramic floors & wall tiles

MA.DE: Iris Ceramica Showroom

To express the explosive force of the MA.DE collection, we designed three design schemes within an intentionally neat space.

The surface prepared with Uni was shaped by a theorical concept, where disproportionate objects describes the power of the material. The disproportionate large bath tiled with Uni Beige was duplicated in the mirrors placed next to the walls, like a large geometrical sculpture. On the floor, Uni Metal played with the light, continuosly changin colour, acquiring unexpected tonalities.

To enhance the warm, material nature of the Cocos line we designed a space for memory, a wood with shapes defined by a game of lighting installation, which traced a maze-like path.Allowing us to loose ourselves in a place of theory, which our senses can recognise but our minds cannot interpret.

We explored the potential of Victoria, Orlov and Excelsior through an urban landscape, a miniature Agora. The Victoria floor created a square, with benches, a chance to take a rest before entering the cubic building clad from floor to ceiling with the three materials, inside and out. Inside it, as in the innermost cells of Ancient Greek temples, light indentifies the heart of the matter.
