Torre Fiumara, part of a commercial and residential complex, stands on the site of a former industrial complex. The project permitted redevelopment of the entire area, which was an Ansaldo plant until the ’70s, when it was abandoned to decay and desolation. Architects Vincenzo Rossi and Renzo Truffelli of Atelier di Architettura covered the octagonal tower with Format - Agra Red porcelain tiles measuring 66 x 33 cm, applied to the wall with adhesive and mechanical safety hooks.
