Iris/FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti awarded with “Creators of Value” for its activities in the Celestial Empire

Yet another recognition for Graziano Verdi, President and CEO of the company that keeps its heart in Modena industrial district but it’s always projected towards a responsible internationalization.

It is with great enthusiasm that Iris/FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti took part this year in the selection for the China Awards, the seventh edition of the prize organised by the Italy-China Foundation and MF Milano Finanza in partnership with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China, which celebrates the success stories of Italian companies in China. Recognition for Italian companies that have made the most of the opportunities offered by the Chinese market, a spirit that has distinguished the work of Iris/FMG right from the start, marked by the perfect balance between past and future, between the values of the manufacturing tradition and the advantages of state-of-the-art technology.

The authoritative panel, chaired by Cesare Romiti (Chairman of Italy-China Foundation) and Paolo Panerai (Deputy Chairman and MD of Class Editori), considered the activities of Iris/FMG in China worthy of the "Creators of Value" prize, awarded to President and CEO Graziano Verdi during the Charity Dinner held last 29 November in the suggestive location of Palazzi Clerici in Milan, a market ready to accept the quality and style of Italian production.

“At a time of great historical economic difficulty for the Country - underlined Graziano Verdi, President and CEO of Iris/FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti - it is a great privilege to receive such a prestigious award. In fact, our commitment goes beyond commercial results, but aspires to giving life to a new model of development that sees an opportunity for enrichment and comparison in the emerging markets. What we export is not simply a material, but a set of skills that distinguish our work: stylistic-technological research, attention to the environment, knowledge of the artisan tradition, ethics in work relationships, and the vision of a future that could be better thanks to our contribution too. Values that have guided us in the decision to launch a new commercial adventure with the opening of a single brand Iris Ceramica/FMG exhibition hall in Hong Kong last spring”.

The value of Iris/FMG materials lies in the sustainable philosophy that permeates them from the start, with the choice of the best raw materials, the controlled, certified production process, and the research into new applications and new solutions to offer constantly innovative high-performance materials. The latest examples of this are the Active Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic™, the eco-active production methodology that thanks to the titanium dioxide make the ceramic material able to improve the environment we live in and Maxfine, the latest generation slabs offered as a new surface for architecture, due to the 4.5 m2 covered by each individual 300x150 format slab, the largest ever made in porcelain stoneware.
