Both the structure and internal partitions in the building’s attic have been completely renovated, with the area now enjoying a picturesque view of the Emilia-Romagna hills. The restyling concludes a series of projects at Iris Ceramica’s headquarters which in recent years involved the showroom, reception converted to a Historic Museum and management offices. Designed over various phases by Area-17 Architecture & Interiors, the project’s concept revolves around developing the brand, defining innovative styles while respecting its signature identity. The renovation therefore consistently respects the original architecture of the 1960s building, yet combines the traditional style with a contemporary edge.
Previously divided into three small suites to host clients, the rooftop has been transformed into a large, contemporary and dynamic open space for socializing and entertaining. The Attico comprises two spacious interconnecting areas, a lounge/meeting area, and a bistro with kitchen, suitable for talks, co-working, presentations and conferences as required. Natural light enters through large perimeter windows, accentuating the sophisticated designs of the porcelain tiles installed in the area and superb quality of the beautiful furnishings. Outside, the terrace creates a visual link between the interior and panoramic view, inviting the visitor to freely make use of the areas.
In The Attico, guests are cocooned in a comfortable yet functional interior design that showcases Iris Ceramica’s values and aesthetic vision to the full, interpreting and anticipating current and future trends, and re-imagining today’s lifestyle needs in ceramic surfaces.
